The Villa is a J.M. elementary school , grades pre-K to
grade 8, whose mission is to be “A community embracing
christian values, academic excellence and loving service
consistent with the mission of the Religious of Jesus
and Mary”. Four sisters work in the school and live at
St. Joseph’s Mission Center and Emmaus Mission Center.

Emmaus MC is located on the grounds of the Villa
Augustina, in what was originally the Chaplain’s
quarters. Presently it is occupied by two Religious of
Jesus and Mary.
- VILLA AUGUSTINA:
One sister is Plant Manager at the Villa Augustina
School.
- THE MENTAL HEALTH CENTER OF GREATER MANCHESTER:
The other sister is a Clinical Case Manger at this
Center. She is also responsible for coordinating the
care of the Sisters who reside at Holy Cross Health
Care Center in Manchester , N.H.
- WORK RELEASE PROGRAM WITH LOCAL WOMEN INMATES:
The Villa receives the services of women who are
terminating their prison time. They do summer
maintenance and yard work and their work schedule is
planned and supervised by one of the Sisters. This
environment of respect encourages sharing about
their life situations. Once released, and as
parolees in a halfway house, some have continued
their contact with the Sister.

Three sisters share their lives and also their ministry
to Villa Augustina. One sister is also responsible for
the NH chapter of the Family of Jesus and Mary.

Eight sisters receive quality medical care and other
services in this facility, directed by the Sisters of
the Holy Cross, while maintaining contact with the
communities in the area.
